Information Management for VBS

Managing information resources is critical for the success of many different types of organizations. For the last 10 years I have had the responsibility of organizing my church's vacation Bible school program.

SAVE TIME by reducing repetitive work by making use of word processor merge features. By proper setup of data files and form files, one master set of records can provide directory lists of students, mailing labels, nametags, attendance sheets, etc.

Download the zip files to obtain the files for use with WordPerfect.[Click on the link. Modify the settings when the dialog box opens, to save the file to your drive.]

VBStemplates.zip (19K)

provides files with the sample setup and examples of data for organizing VBS student records.

VBSinstruct.zip (974K)

provides instructions with illustrations for using these files within WordPerfect.

Unzip them to a single directory [Hyperlinks within the documents will not work if documents are spread across multiple directories.] Utilities to unzip compressed files can be located on numerous Web sites including:

While I feel called to serve in children's ministry directly through my church's program and indirectly through the Vacation Bible School Planning web site, supporting my family must also be a priority on my time.
